The mural stretches 40 meters along Clements Road, Bermondsey SE16. It tells the story of Bermondsey, from humble beginnings on the banks of the Thames, its role in the suffrage movement, its famous football club and local heroes, inventing biscuits, the collapse of industry, surviving the war, through to the strong vibrant community it is today. Commissioned by NB Studios. We used special carbon eating paint by Airlite. Made with natural materials, Airlite reduces pollutants like nitrogen oxide and nitrogen dioxide, returning air to a purer and more pristine state. More about Airlite here. Photographs by Tami Aftab
